Overall, if you don't mind RNG I do think that DD is probably slightly ahead (the narrator is just amazing. Some things, like the atmosphere, is done better in DD, while other things, like minion customization, is done way better in Iratus. There is a feeling that what you decide actually matters more, while in DD you basically set up a plan and see whether it can weather the dice rolls.īoth games have their charm. For example you can craft the minions you want in Iratus, while in DD it's random what you can hire. Sure, attacks still miss, the damage done varies, but in the end, thanks to block, ward and other mechanics, there is a lot that actually helps smoothing out bad RNG rolls. I for my part find the slow but steady approach of Iratus way more enjoyable. There is 1 major thing that sets apart DD and Iratus so much, that those games are utterly incompareable beyond their overall set up: Luck.ĭD is way more random, so depending whether you like RNG dictating your performance more or less (RNG WILL kill your best squad and it WILL bring your campaign to full halts), you will like Iratus or DD.
